Issue:

Client has one drug, but the potential for either physician-administration or oral formulation. Client hopes to receive feedback on payer and provider perspectives for deemed value of different formulations.

 

Strategy:

  • Identified and interviewed 10 payer medical and pharmacy directors via blinded webinar technology.
  • Identified and interviewed five high profile physicians related to cutting edge business models (e.g., onsite pharmacies).
  • Assessed relative value of each formulation, based on hypothetical and documented data, including time to market, term of therapy, frequency of dosing and other variables.

Outcome:

  • Created possible value messages for each formulation, based on key variables.
  • Identified specific next step requirements to effectively position one or both formulations with payers.
