Dana Mennen, MHP - Senior Consultant, Market Monitoring Services

Dana manages DK Pierce & Associates' customized monitoring services. She oversees the firm's detailed tracking, research, analysis, and client notification activities of policy and reimbursement issues at commercial and government healthcare payers.

Dana's expertise in Medicare policy analysis and technical coding interpretation is a result of her work with Medicare medical directors and policy analysts to optimize coverage and coding policies. Through these relationships, she maintains perspective on payers' needs for information related to client products and services. Dana monitors state Medicaid agencies and interacts with medical directors, pharmacy administrators, and policy staff to facilitate coverage of new FDA-approved physician injectable drugs and biologics. She provides insight and clarity to coverage, coding, and documentation issues that affect stakeholders.

Dana is responsible for providing analysis on all pertinent regulations and policy changes directed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), local Medicare contractors, Medicaid agencies, and commercial payers.

Dana graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is certified as a Managed Healthcare Professional (MHP®) through the Insurance Education Program at America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).
